ROSIE 2 THE RESCUE is local woman-owned business established in 2015. We are a professional pet care company that provides pet owners with the freedom and peace of mind they need to take back their work and personal life without worrying about their furry friends. We provide dog walking, pet sitting services, pet taxi services and puppy play dates serving the Kensington and Bethesda areas.

I spent my formative years in England and after graduating college with a degree in Early Childhood Health and Education (N.N.E.B), I lived and worked in London as a nanny. My enjoyment of travel and meeting new people brought me to the USA over 30 years ago.

I have 20 years+ experience working as a family assistant/nanny to many different families, helping them with every aspect of running a busy household and schedules, to caring for children ranging in age from newborn to teenager. This led me into creating my own business, ROSIE 2 THE RESCUE.

I have always loved animals! We have rescued several dogs and cats over the last 20+ years. Taloola, our lovable boxer-mix found her forever home with us in 2010. She is a total nut, but we love her to pieces!

I love being a business owner and love the fact that I get to go to work every day and spend time with so many adorable pups and kitties. I have developed special bonds with many furry friends and created great relationships with their families.

It gives me great pleasure to know that we provide quality, affordable,

sought-after service. We cherish every pet and treat them as if they were our own, with love and compassion. Our goal is to provide professional, reliable service and give a sense of relief and comfort to the pet owner(s) with knowledge that the furry friends are well-taken care of and loved.

Hi! I'm Carol!

I have a rescue dog named Penny who's around 15. I have rescued 5 kittens during covid when the humane society wasn't open to the public. They were TNR and are now living the best life with a dining hall and a mansion in my side yard. I am a BIG animal lover and have been my whole life.

When I first started working for Rosie I didn’t realize it would become more than a dog walking job. I am now going on 4 years. I have fallen in love with all my pups and have been lucky enough to get to know their owners. There have been losses and ones who have moved. Dog walking for R2R is more than a job it allows you to be trusted by ones whos dogs are their family ❤️ Rosie doesn’t just take great care of her clients needs and their dogs, she also takes great care of her staff too.

Hi, I'm Peter!
I have been working with Rosie since 2019, and I have been fortunate to meet seem lovable dogs along the way, some of whom I still get to walk. Anyways, I am currently attending school while I enjoy walking these amazing pups. I've got a golden retriever named Benny, so I'm happy to deal with all sorts of high-energy dogs. I love getting outside in nature, playing sports, and I love animals, of course.

Hi, I am Melinda.

I have had a love for animals both domestic and wild since childhood. My first dog was a Collie. She resembled "Lassie". We lived out in the country, and we explored nature together. Later, we had to move to the city, but my love for animals, for nature has remained. As I grew up, I met people from various countries, my love and concern for humanity grew. I graduated college and worked in the health field for many years. Now, that I am approaching retirement age, I thought, why not do something that I have always loved to do! So, by taking care of other people's pets, mainly cats and dogs, (however I have experience with rabbits, hamsters, lizards, turtles, parakeets, and chickens) I can love, nurture, and tend to their need's while their owner is away. This makes me very happy!

Karen is a Kensington Parkwood resident and dog "mom" to Hershey. She joins the team at R2R as a recent retiree who loves animals, the neighborhood, and exercise. She looks forward to caring for your four-legged family members as she does her own.

Hello! My name is Elena, and I'm so excited to begin my time with Rosie 2 the Rescue! I've had pets my entire life and have always taken care of them for my family. I enjoy spending time with my cat Stevie, playing or just hanging out, and taking my dog Grace for walks around the neighborhood.

I'm Alena!

I have been around dogs all of my life. In the last 10 or so years, I have lived with roommates who had dogs, cats, a bunny, and even fish! I walked my roommates' dogs and played with their cats. I never knew that cats could be so interesting and fun. I had a family friend whose dog I used to care for when they went away, and I would go and walk him. He passed away last fall at 17 years old. I really miss him.

I work for a local non-profit and have a busy schedule with meetings, etc. but I am very happy to be working with Rosie 2 The Rescue. It's a win-win - I get exercise and get to love animals at the same time, and it works with my schedule. In fact, it has helped me tremendously. There is an energy that you get from animals that you don't get anywhere else (maybe kids, but all our family kids are grown-up now).

I am looking forward to getting to know each of your animals, and know that they will be in good hands!
